bought my son a LCD HD Ready TV and a playstation 3 for xmas and a HDMI cable but the sound is a buzz?

i bought a HDMI cable to make the TV HD but the sound is just a buzz, is it because i got a cheap cable? Any idea’s before i go out and spend more money? The picture is fantastic by the way its just the sound, its not audible at all

Well, if the HDMI cable is bad, I’d suggest getting an exchange first….
If the buzz is still there with the new cable, try the other HDMI input on the back of the TV set….those HDMI connections are pretty fragile and can be easily damaged with HEAVY HDMI cables or awkward sons……
Wouldn’t surprise me your son WRIGGLED the connector into the HDMI slot….
You don’t do that with HDMI…..
You DOCK IT just like the shuttle docks with the space station….very carefully.

Not saying that your the only on to do it but….”i bought a HDMI cable to make the TV HD”….you cant just buy a cable to “make” a TV HD you need an HD TV.
