How can I raise money for a non-profit organization which helps poor people in an Asian country?
Posted by admin under: Community Service .
I am a Junior in HS and I would like to raise money for a non-profit org which helps poor with their health neccesiities in Asia. I don’t know how to start it and how people can trust that I will be giving away the money. My mom is willing to make some complimentary snacks to give it to the people who donate.

This is a good venture. Just make up flyers and ask churches for donations. Talk to your pastor if you have one. Maybe he would have some ideas. Contact places like Samaritan’s Purse, Feed the Hungry, and others and ask them how you might get donations. I am sure they have a bundle of ideas.

You are such a great kid, and the credit goes to your mom who raised you to be sensitive to the needs of others. You can get in touch with the World Vision, Red Cross and be part of their fund raising program, World Health Organization does a lot for HIV and TB check their website and get more information via emails.
Good luck!
Save the children fund, CARE, UNICEF, are some more organizations who do a lot for children.
