What are the benefits of having an internet marketing certification?

Hi I’m about to start an internet marketing coarse that offers a certification in internet marketing upon completion. I know just having the knowledge is crucial if you’re running your own business but are there any other perks to having this certification? thanks…

Anyone with a pc can give you a certification in internet marketing, and you don’t even have to take any classes.
Unless it is from a State college or University, it doesn’t mean anything.
You can call yourself the Institute of Internet Marketing, and print your self a certificate if you want. It will be just as prestigious as one printed by someone else.
