Where can I buy a car having bad credit with little to no money down in the South San Diego area?

I recently moved back to the San Diego area from Phoenix. My wife’s car just died and she’s getting tired of driving me back and forth to work and I’m getting tired of her taking me. The reason why we moved to phoenix was to get out of our bad credit situation but in the end we made it worse.
In Phoenix all over the place they had those “No credit checks”, “Your Job is your Credit”, “Buy here pay here”. I bought a car at one of those places with only $500 down a few years back. Still a fantastic car! But Phoenix’s job market was seeming real bleak, so we had to move back to San Diego. Now after looking for a car for over 3 months and getting tuned down left and right I’m thinking that Phoenix was the Bad credit capital of the world since Sooo many placed had the “Bad Credit, Ho Hassle”. So my Question is thus… Where can I buy a car having bad credit with little to no money down in the (South) San Diego area. If I have to drive far that’s ok as long as I can get a car. And I don’t wanna drive back to phx.

The kind of dealer you bought from before is called a “buy-here-pay-here” used car dealer. Every large town has them. I’m sure San Diego has them too. Try going to the “bad” side of town or near the military base. You already know what signs to look for.

Stop financing overpriced junk at loan shark rates.
Pay cash for a used Honda and drive it for 5 years while saving up for a new car.
