How do people make money selling drugs, if they just keep buying more to replace the drugs they lost?

Okay, so first you have to buy the weed. Do they buy it in a larger amount, like an ounce, and then make money because they sell less for more money. It makes no sense. My boyfriend will spend all his money to reup on weed, sell it, then buy more with the money he makes, how is he making a profit? Somebody please explain, im starting to think people are selling for popularity now, rather then to get money.

You can probably buy drugs in bulk for a cheaper price and then resell them in smaller quantities for more money. Not positive though, since I don’t do or sell drugs…

ok
lets say you buy an once for 35$$
and with that you sell only blunts using that once for 5$ each
with that you will make 65$$-70$$
with is not THAT large of a profit, but repeating the processes will leave you with a large chunk of money
thats what dealers do
they will buy a large amount break it into smaller amounts and slightly over charge so they can profit
if your dealing with cocain or herion or codine or any other liquid or powder substance (forgive my spelling) they will mix it with another substance
like cocain, it will be mixed with baking soda, that way they can take a little amount mix it with baking soda to make it look like a larger amount and profit from that

A quarter of an an ounce can be bough for £40.
You can then sell them as two separate eights at £25 each, thus making a profit of £10 straight away.
If you buy an ounce for, say £120, you can (again) sell them as eighths for £25, making a profit of £80, or as quarters, making a profit of £40, or a mixture of the two.
The more you buy, the better the price.
Also, usually they pinch a bit out of it or grind it up and pad it with tobacco to make it look like a lot for the average Joe who isn’t about to get the scales out.

Generally when you get to the point where you’re smoking a ton (like an 1/8 an ounce every weekday and God knows how much more on the weekends) you can save money by purchasing in larger amounts at a time. You might get 9/8 the weed for the price of an ounce (8/8) or some other deal depending on what, who, and how much he’s working with.
What “makes sense” for your boyfriend and everyone who does this is to buy a large amount, smoke and sell it away, and use the profits to restock. That way, after your initial purchase you get to get high “for free.”
There is generally an opportunity for identity/popularity aspect too in the selling situation, especially for college age peoples as you can be the “weed guy” even if you’re just dealing small change. Everybody loves popularity, and it’s easy to get a widespread positive name and rep from it.
