What are some nerdy/geeky things to do / places to visit in San Francisco?

I am visiting there for the first time from the Sept 30 to Oct 5, if that helps for maybe any events or anything of any interest. I don’t have a ton of money but I’ll spend a little bit if it’s something awesome. Any help would be fantastic. Thanks!

The Randall Museum a small natural history museum above the castro.
The Cartoon Art Museum the only museum dedicated to the preservation and promotion of graphic arts.
The SF History room on the 6th Floor of the Main Public Library at 8th and Market.
