Is a Mac really worth the money?

Posted by admin under: Other - Computers .

Macs are fantastic. PC’s ****. I have used a MAC for business, and a PC for personal use, and the differences are vivid.

I am thinking of upgrading to a Mac Book Pro, off of my current Windows 7 laptop I bought months ago.

The laptop cost me $1,200 out the door, and is pretty state-of-the-art.

The Mac I am looking at will cost me $2,499, which is practically double the cost.

Is it worth it? I have no problem spending $2,499 on a laptop that will fit all of m needs, and work when I need it to. I am just tired of a Windows computer that I invest all this money in, only to have it take 10 minutes to start up and shutdown completely.

Will the Mac work? The system specs are equivalent, if not better to my PC.

If your PCs are taking 10 minutes to start up and shut down, then YOU are doing something wrong, not the PC.

Not worth it at all.

Spend that much on a laptop, and it will exceed your expectations by far.

you are complaining about system loading time? I work with both Macs and PC’s..loading time is the same. You can spend $2,500 on a Mac that helps you do nothing but gives better picture clarity for when you are photo editing. I guess if you like fancy websurfing get a Mac. but other than that you’re making a huge money mistake. cmon man..look at what you get for the same price as that macbook

that thing has twice the memory, a waaaaay better processor, 2 VIDEO CARDS!! and its Asus! its just as good a brand as Mac is! listen to me..all you’re buying is an expensive alluminum/stainless steel chassis notebook that is overpriced because it helps people with their photo-editing and web designing. Are you honestly going to do any of that? Macs aren’t compatible with any software so what are you going to do when you need to use it for business purposes and you can’t even use the software that you need to use.

It depends what you’re doing.

Macs are excellent for video and audio work as well as photography and other arts. PCs are a lot more involved and flexible, although more buggy. That’s why I prefer PCs :)

No

And you couldn’t have had a Windows 7 laptop a few months ago dumbass, the OS is still in testing. Unless of course, you got the beta OS from Microsoft, which I did

Macs aren’t worth it at all, you could get a PC 3x better for the same price. And why would you get a Mac now with Snow Leopard out in January?

If the specs are equivalent, your PC must **** balls.
