Can I get a refund on a money order in the store that I bought it in?

I bought a money order at a local convinience store (money gram) and I sent it about two weeks ago. The company has not recieved the money order and it has not been cashed. Also I have not gotten the money order back trough the mail.
So could i get a refund or a new money order at the store i bought it in? Even tough i only have the recipt(stub)??

Odds of a refund from the store are low, I’m willing to wager. They MAY have a toll-free number for the company that handles the money orders; hope it wasn’t a BIG amount!

You should go see if that convience store has the form you need to send to money gram to get a refund. The store itself can not do the refund. Moneygram has to cancel the money order and refund you!

They have to trace it and it can take 90 days before they will issue you another one.

You cannot get a refund through the store.

check on your receipt, I believe you have to call the money order company, and fees are applied when giving refunds.
