how can wiki earn money without adding ads?

they are doing a really great thing…
but donation isn’t a reliable source of financing…
any ideas for them to survive?…
1) sponsored by kind people = donation…
2)There are ads = nope there are no ads…

My guesses would be
1)They are just sponsored by kind people
2)There are ads. In the bottom you see a lot of links. Maybe companies and encyclopedias or whatever, are paying their money for being placed on the top

I’ve read somewhere before that Wiki is under google..
