Do you make more money in the restaurant or store business?

Do restaurant or store OWNERS generally make more money? Obviously, this depends if you are Ralph Lauren or some little tiny clothing stand on the street, but if you were to get the SAME amount of customers, in which business would you generally earn greater amounts of money?

I guess it depends on the person or the product. If your product is good so will your money be. You cant compare *** and drugs and say which one makes the most.Its how good your product is compared to the rest.
Its all about product my friend.

From the experience of several people I know. Resturant biz is much much harder and little percentage of them make it. That is the start up resturants.
If you open an online retail store…I get hosted for under 5 a month! Much less than rent of a brick and mortar store.
If you know how to utilize the internet and get higher search rankings…you can get tons of traffic in a short amt. of time.
