Does getting an account on the Playstation Store cost money?

I really want a playstation store account but I’m afraid it’ll cost me money I don’t have. Recently, my parents say I have to earn what ever I get ( roof over my head, food in my mouth, and clothes on my back* brand name of their choice* excluded) and I’m having trouble making money due to child labor laws and I was just looking for a quick answer whether or not this was going to dip into my already dwindling funds.

No, the Playstation Store doesn’t cost anything to sign up. The Playstation Store is completely free to use. The only thing that will cost you money is if you buy downloadable add-on game content or downloadable PSN games.
Demos and Videos are free for download.

Creating an account is free. If you have any regular online account you will be allowed to access the Playstation Store, but if you would need to buy anything you can give in your credit card details and buy stuff on the PS Store but that is optional.
Most of the useful stuff on the Playstation Store is free, stuff like Wallpapers, Themes, Movie Trailers, Game Trailers, Images, Playable Demos are all free.
