How does a corner store make money?

If a store was home owned, how would they make money? If they buy products then sell them wouldn’t they just make the same amount of money they paid to buy the products?

No they buy them for cheap like the prices for buying in bulk then the sell them for alot more$$$$

Any store, big or small buy in bulk from wholesalers or cash and carry warehouses
They then sell these products at a profit to make their money,
just like any business will do

if you owen the place and your are doing it for the in come then you work it this way.you buy the things you want to sell.then you go around and see what the other places is selling it for.if your selling it to pay the bill,s and put food on the and so on and some money in your pocket ,then sell it for 50 cent or a doller less and your then your price well be seen and in these day,s there looking for the best price.now you work with family and that will keep the over head down as well.you will not be hafting to cover health,work,s comp,and so on.this is a way to keep your cost down.

No they buy in bulk at a cheaper rate and sell at unit prices, they have to buy for quick turnaround profit, so they only buy what will sell like quick frozen meals, tins of soups, peas, etc, stuff that locals will buy.
