how much money shoud i take for 3 week trip to melbourne?

im going to melbourne in september on the 15th and come back on the 7th of october. my flights are paid for and im staying with friends while im in melbourne. i want to do the usuall tourist thing as my friends im staying with work during the week. what would be a good amount of money to take with to survive for 3 weeks and what things are worth doing?

Be very careful that you bring or have access to enough money or they may not let you through customs. Perhaps 100 dollars a day, after all you can always take it home again. The weather may determine your activities, it can be very cold in September, if you like wildlife the zoo is always good, and right in the city, you can get there by public transport.

Your here for about 22 days so take $100 – $150 per day or around $3000 plus an extra $500 just incase and keep half on a card and half in cash so your safe.
