Once we nationalize the banks, can we start investing to serive human need instead of corporate greed?
Posted by admin under: Politics .
The capital in banks is surplus generated by the efforts of the working class, and it belongs to all of society, not to private capitalists. So it is only right that a democratic government invest our capital on our behalf for public benefit, not private gain.

Okay, so you are a socialiist. I am not. Collectively serving the needs of the community over the individual is a rather tricky business. Why? Because what each man and woman considers necessary, compassionate or inevitable differs. The government on the other hand is the one who would ultimately DECIDE what the common good was. Does that sound like freedom to you? Because to me, it doesn’t.

The capital in banks belongs to depositors or was stolen from currency holders through Fed manipulation. None of it is yours to ‘invest’ as you see fit.

You are wrong! The surplus generated in the banks is the result of the investments made by the bank on behalf of the depositors. The depositors and investors own the benefits of any gain. You really should stop reading Marxist garbage, it’s been proven wrong too many times.

Helping people is over-rated. You just destroy their self esteem and they will find it easier to take it out on you then accept the blame for accepting it. Now you know the truth of why minority crime is so high. Dems in their hatred for blacks and others have gone out of their way to tell them they are worthless and need a hand out.

I agree, you are making an argument for socialism. Look, we will not succeed if the government is always trying to play Robin Hood – the rich or even upper middle class who are often referred to as “rich”, made money because they WORKED HARD for it.
So, because the average American can’t fend for themselves, we should try to nationalize banks to help out. Why stop there? This concept of ENTITLEMENT will get us further in the hole.

Banks provide valuable services, if they didn’t the majority of people would not put their money into them. The so called surplus is created because the service the bank provides allows them to loan out money for economic expansion as well as their own expansion. The more services a bank provides, the more valuable they are for the consumer.
If we are being fair, why is wrong for banks to make money on the working classes money that they protect, and hold. This money you say should be used for the public benefit.
But, that implies that it is okay for the government to take taxpayers(workers) surplus and spend it on their expansion, increased bureaucracy, and wasteful spending.
I want to live in a country where it is possible that I can one day make obscene profits.
